Born and raised in New England, Barbara has always found inspiration in
nature. Her paintings reflect her love of watercolor, capturing the light
and mood of her subject. The busy streets of New York to the quiet beauty
of Maine are recurring themes. Drawn by the beauty of watercolor, Barbara
started attending local art classes and workshops with renown artists.
Her pursuit of art has taken her throughout the US where she paints plein
air; completing the paintings in her studio.
Barbara has displayed her art work in many exhibits and shows. She has
won awards with the Philadelphia Water Color Society, International Juried
Exhibit-Art Association of Harrisburg, Greater Norristown Art League, Perkiomen Valley Art Center, John James Audubon Mill Grove, Manayunk Art
Center and Penny Packer Mills.
She has donated many paintings to charitable organizations and non
profits. In addition, she creates greeting cards from her paintings
for fund raising events.
Barbara has taught art classes at Michaels, YMCA camps and conducts art
workshops for all levels and interests. She resides in Pennsylvania with
her husband Larry.
"Each day, there is excitement to see what will catch my eye-where
the light reflects-and what shadows will take shape. In that moment, when
I express my vision and feelings, there is tremendous joy."
